A person with diabetes is not able to heel his foot sores easily as diabetes attack the nervous system so person is not able to feel his or her feet properly. It also damages the blood vessels which makes it difficult to heal theses wounds but you still can bear few things in mind for foot care which definitely help you out.
Wash your feet daily with Luke warm water and put water based moisturizer but do not apply it between your toes. It prevents dry skin and cracking.
Wear cotton socks which should not be tight. In the same way use only that footwear which is comfortable.
Avoid using use heating pads, hot water bottles or iodine as they can harm.
Cut your nails straight across with safety clipper.
Do not walk bare foot.
Avoid using corn medicines or razors.
Quit smoking if you have habit as it damages the blood vessels leading to poor circulation which is a risk factor for foot infection.
Routine exercise will improve bone and joint health of your feet, improve blood circulation and also stabilizes the blood sugar levels.
